Basic purpose of position: Provide quality, training and compliance oversight for a designated terminal.



  • Auditing / monitoring areas of responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, EPA, FRA and DOT statutes, regulations and policies;
  • Auditing / monitoring location to ensure they understand, implement and maintain compliance with all safety policies, requirements and procedures;
  • Mentor location to enhance their understanding and compliance with all customer and company quality procedures to meet goals for delivering damage free product;
  • Seek and document methods for continual improvement in the quality of the services being provided and the efficiency, in which those services are conducted, coordinate implementation with the General Manager;


  • 2+ years experience leading employee training one-on-one
  • Working knowledge and understanding of OSHA, EPA, FRA, and DOT regulations and policies
  • Quality auditing experience
  • Commitment to safety
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Experience in the recognition, development, and implementation of process improvement opportunities
  • Effective communicator
  • Railroad experience is a must, prefer railcar mechanical/welder knowledge
  • Intermodal site operations experience a plus

Work and Environmental Conditions:

  • Ability to constantly work in an outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements, including extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions;
  • Ability to climb, using various types of ladders, to heights in excess of 16 feet;
  • Ability to  bend at waist crouch for extended periods of time;
  • Ability to use bending, twisting, walking motions on uneven surfaces throughout the entire work shift;
  • Must be able to work independently;
  • Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment

Conditions of Employment: Employment is conditional, based on a medical examination which includes a drug screen, and an examination to verify candidates can safely perform the essential functions of the job.  Road & Rail Services requires a post-offer motor vehicle reference check, and background check. Employment and military (if applicable) verification required.
